27. Dust Sensor Detector Module(EF05027)#

27.1. Introduction#

The Dust Sensor Detector Module with Sharp GP2Y1010AU0F adopts Sharp optical dust sensor(GP2Y1010AU0F). It is used to detect the density of dust particle with diameter beyond 0.8μm such as cigarette smoke.

27.7.5. Result#

The value detected by the Dust Sensor displays on the OLED screen.

27.8. Python Programming#

27.8.1. Step 1#

Download the package and unzip it: PlanetX_MicroPython

Go to Python editor

27.8.3. Reference#

from microbit import *
from enum import *
from dust import *

dis = DUST(J1)
while True:
    display.scroll(dis.get_dust())
    sleep(500)

27.8.4. Result#

The value detected by the Dust Sensor displays on the micro:bit.
